The 2008 Sabah state elections results

Sabah Barisan Nasional(BN) performed well in the recent general elections,it captured all the parliamentary and state seats except losing 1 parliamentary seat and 1 state seat to the opposition front, now the Barisan Rakyat (BR).But on closer study it is obvious that BN would have lost 7 more state seats and 1 more parliamentary seats if not for the BR's failure to co-operate by coming to an agreement on an arrangement of a 1-0n-1 situation.Well, that is the price one has to pay for being not mature and placing self interests above the mass. Below is the details of the scores for the seats mentioned:

The Sabah BR still has a long way to go before they will mature into a well co-ordinated front like its counterparts in the Peninsular.

PS The Opposition alliance was loosely called "Barisan Rakyat" when I first posted this article. They have subsequently announced the official name for their newly formed alliance is "Pakatan Rakyat".
